Alternative Tentacles is proud to add this legendary envelope-pusher to our roster with Fahrenheit 69, his first record of all new material since Blowfly for President was released in 1988. By day, BLOWFLY worked as CLARENCE REID, the songwriter who penned hits for KC & THE SUNSHINE BAND, etc. on TK records; by night, he donned his superhero costume and became BLOWFLY, whose XXX song parodies and original numbers have been subjects of lawsuits and obscenity prosecutions. Fahrenheit 69 documents BLOWFLY's hedonistic and politically incorrect run for the presidency that aims to color every state with his blue humor, tackling issues like booty, pussy and boogers. BLOWFLY's irreverence and salaciousness haven't lost their edge, and neither has the music, with guest appearances by underground rap sensations MC SLUG from ATMOSPHERE (Rhymesayers) and AFROMAN ("Because I Got High"), as well as GRAVY TRAIN!!!!
