***After his debut ep, "You're A Nice Girl" (included here in its entirety on the cd format), and his appearance on the Sacred Symbols Of Mu compilation, Canada's Last Step unleashes his debut album called simply 'Last Step'. These tracks are all created using original analogue equipment like the Roland 303, 606, 707 and Jupiter etc. Last Step is a bit of a mystery, as he only communicates with us anonymously and via vocoder. All his royalties (if he ever makes a profit) are destined for the St. Bernadetta's Synth Hospital. He's listed his influences as The Carpenters, Giorgio Moroder, Drexciya, Phuture, Depeche Mode, Luke Vibert, Mozart, Jean Michel Jarre, Roland, The Human League, DMX Krew, Throbbing Gristle, Vav Jungle, Jeff Mills, Simon and Simon, 808 State & Glass Tiger. 30-second MP3 excerpts: Lives With Angel Contrast When You're Smiling And When You're Not.
