***Texan Dubstep, throwing the deep south chopped and screwed vocal sound into the mix. "Throw Some D's" is set to be an absolutely huge tune, bringing a brand new flavor to the scene. "Big Killaz" (feat. Skint) on the flip, pushes the sound slower and darker still, with a truly original U.S twist. Definitely one to watch. His style might be exactly the kind of warping dark halfstep you'd expect from Youngsta or Hench, but it's saved by a Texan twist. Screwed and chopped hip-hop vocals give Parson a uniquely U.S. flavor-- essential if he's to add to the healthy momentum that he generated for himself in '06. --Pitchfork |
