***The fact that Carsten Aermes (aka Phon.o) still has poleposition locked-in with Tigerbeat6 almost three years after his previous release will be no suprise to those familiar with 2002's Mokkastübchen EP. After extensive touring and international exposure, he's cooked up a full-length. Burn Down The Town, originally designed as a personally ideal disco mixtape which, thankfully, did not digress into masturbatory self-experimentation. Instead, Phon.o's trademark speed and versatile taste aims boldly and fires into the unprotected booty of karaoke, thusly solidifying his role as musical heavyweight and sexually confident Eastern German. Hectic rammer-beats and ghetto-tech are more for practitioners of ejaculatio praecox, while the rough, stop 'n' go patterns of Phon.o are fit for more discerning pleasure-seekers. |
