Manchester's Virus Syndicate are the first vocal grime outfit to sign to Planet Mu. They consist of producer Mark One and MCs Nika D, Goldfinger, JSD & Shado. "Slow Down" is a rapid fire vocal track bigging up the Virus style and showcasing each MC. The B-side, "Devil Boy," is an instrumental remix based on a rhythmic theme from "Slow Down"-- or in grime-speak, simply "Devil Man" being rinsed by Slimzee. Virus Syndicate caught the attention of grime and dubstep scenesters in 2004 with a track featured on Mark One's One Way album and the group wound up on many end-of-year charts.
