Mia's second album "Come Out Of Your Mine" will be released on the Communion label on May 17th, 1999. Here are some autobiographical notes.


I was born on June 30, 1975 in Los Angeles, California.

I grew up there with the palm trees and the sprawl and the endless summers.

My mother is Japanese and a judge by profession.

My father is Irish and a sculptor.

In 1993 I moved to New Haven, Connecticut to attend Yale University.

In the winter, one prefers to stay inside.

There are beautiful libraries,

apartments with noisy radiators,

and dark, hot coffee aplenty.

In the spring, one rejoices,

sits in the grass with the perennials,

and opens all the windows, ecstatically.
