Made on the occasion of STEVEN STAPLETON's first visit to the United States, this album revisits NWW's landmark 1979 debut LP Chance Meeting on a Dissecting Table of a Sewing Machine and an Umbrella, twisting the album's familiar outsider free music into something totally different. The sounds warble, stretch and bend out of recognition creating a new and more disturbing environment. This destroyed version provided by Stapleton's American friend MATT WALDRON was so fascinating, Stapleton felt it had to be released. It is the first NWW CD to be released in the US. Packaged in a stark black digipak.
