AMERICAN MUSIC CLUB’s new record The Golden Age is the cumulative result of three basic things. There are two new band members—STEVE DIDELOT (drums) and SEAN HOFFMAN (bass). The band relocated to Los Angeles where VUDI drives a bus and can’t travel to San Francisco very frequently. The desire to make a ‘simple’ record that is a kind of antidote to cynicism and irony. Thirteen tracks that experiment with and extend the band’s range of expression, and result in a varied and joyous album of generous pop music.
