NOW AVAILABLE!!! Molam is a multifaceted folk music native to Laos and the rural Northeastern region of Thailand known as Isan. Translating to “master singer,” Molam is an umbrella term covering over a dozen Isan styles in which male and female singers can be backed by various ethnic instruments and styles. Twenty-one tracks recorded in the 1970s and ‘80s, compiled by ALAN BISHOP (SUN CITY GIRLS) and MARK GERGIS.
