CATWALK is the project of 19-year old Oxnard, CA native NICK HESSLER. Although he's young, he's already been recording under the monicker for 5 years. With that experience, he's been able to perfect his brand of "winsome, distanced indie pop" and this release is fully-formed and mature. "(Please) Don't Break Me" has all the guitar hooks, harmonious vocals and bright production style you'd expect from someone with Nick's influences (Phil Spector, Alex Chilton, Creation Records..) plus something modern and unique. Look for another 7-inch from Catwalk from Captured Tracks soon, quickly followed by their debut LP.
