The music of Northwest duo The Chicharones is tearing up the mouths and hearts of all who listen, just like the spicy, crispy, fried pork-skin snacks of the same name. Los Chicharones the musical version, comprised of Sleep and Josh Martinez, are the rebirth of fresh, combining humor, harmony and a strong sense of songwriting that defies the indie-rap genre. This limited edition EP profiles four tracks from the upcoming fulllength, When Pigs Fly. Oldominion heavyweights Zebulon Dak and Smoke provide the expected clean production while Skratch Bastid (twotime Scribble Jam Champion) and DJ Wicked offer up the cuts. Exclusive bonus material includes a “Pork Rind Disco” remix, the Def Jux produced “Don’t Feed a Machine,” plus three bonus instrumentals.
