Ritualized dissonant groove-stomp "field recordings" from Torino, Italy's elusive and mystery-shrouded collective LARSEN. Recorded and produced by SWANS' MICHAEL GIRA in Italy, Rever is the culmination of hours of recording during which the band, hidden behind a screen, would play, scream, argue, and laugh until they had reached a perfect sense of concentration for delivering soft and beautiful grooves, martial stomps, and dissonant electric atmospheres. Performed with electric guitars, accordion, organ, bass, drums and percussion, voices, horns, and homemade tape loops, Larsen work and work themselves into the core of the rhythm and sounds they generate.
