The fourth album from understated British sound painters MOVIETONE, and the band's third on the esteemed Drag City imprint. Eleven hallucinogenic tracks of jazzy pop songcraft inspired by the likes of Nina Simone, Jefferson Airplane, The Carter Family, The Band, Sandy Denny, and the field recordings of producer Alan Lomax. Recorded in the studio with outside trips to a warehouse, a church, and a cliff path above a gorge to add certain atmospheric qualities.
