Manchester’s Virus Syndicate are the first vocal Grime outfit to sign to Planet Mu. They consist of producers Mark One and Plasticman, and MCs Nika D, Goldfinger and JSD. “Slow Down” (as remixed by Plasticman) is a rapid-fire vocal track. “Devil Boy” is an instrumental based on a remixed “Slow Down” rhythm. Virus Syndicate caught the attention of the blogosphere in 2004 after being featured on Mark One’s critically acclaimed One Way album, and consequently appeared on many end-of-year charts.
