BLACK SUNDAY (ALICJA TROUT’s bedroom, solo, mad-science project) births a new and increasingly experimental collection of recordings, all risen from the loose soil of her Tronic Graveyard in Memphis. This record pushes Trout's sound forward, straight from the brain with total control, while weaving all the boundary pushing through a format that also embraces her trademark synth-heavy (ballsy) atmospheres, with those punk and garage rock n roll tendencies. Metallic and quasi-schizo writing ideas all wrought in decayed iron instrumentation glued together in mid-air by Alicja's particular brand of brutal and beautiful vocal magic. LE JONATHAN REILLY provides a healthy new helping of their somewhat psychedelic post-punk / art rock noodling. If comparison/reviews like "the perfect mixture between the Wipers and Swell Maps" and "the best current band in Spain" don't draw people's attention, then the simple fact that Le Jonathan Reilly is on pretty much every radar of "best stock picks" should obviously do the trick!
