***A DVD reissue of one of the most classic performances in rock'n'roll history, THE CRAMPS' legendary June 1978 concert before a room full of enthusiastic patients at the Napa State Mental Institute. The band is at the peak of its powers—having just recorded their Gravest Hits album—and the audience is at their's as well. Midway through the second song, "Way I Walk," a young woman commands the stage and shares the mic with LUX INTERIOR, and by the time the band hits its fourth song, "Human Fly," a real hoe-down is occurring both on and off the stage with the audience members dancing about, grabbing at the mic, and embracing each other in pure delight. The footage is rough with some audio-visual distortion at times, but it contains some of the best and most primal content ever filmed. Also includes a Target video sampler with CRIME, THROBBING GRISTLE, and others.
