***Fortune teller records are releasing the best tracks from the film Pound, made by ROBERT DOWNEY SR. in 1970. Downey, once dubbed "the Lenny Bruce of the New American Cinema" is admired by Death From Above 1979, composer Jack Nitzche, Dave Chapelle, Jello Biafra and the Coen brothers, among many others. The release is completely legal and extensive work has gone into remastering the tracks. Pound is the follow-up to Putney Swope (also released by Fortune Teller) and is an existential look into the world of dogs locked up in a pound—all played by humans? Add a honky killer into the mix, and you have one dope-addled movie. Tracks are “Lame Motherfucker,” “Godboy,” “Theme From Pound” and “Guided (inst.).” UK import.
